Congressman Ron Paul will make a major announcement next week in Washington D.C. at the National Press Club.

Both Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin are expected at the news conference. Barr is the Libertarian presidential nominee and Baldwin is the presidential nominee of the Constitution Party.

We don't know exactly what is going on, but there is even speculation that Baldwin and Barr are stepping aside so that Paul can become the nominee of both the Constitution and Libertarian Parties.

The Montana Constitution Party has removed Chuck Baldwin from the ballot and is putting the ticket of Ron Paul for President and Michael Peroutka on the ballot for Vice-President.

UPDATE: Eric Garris reports:The Montana Constitution Party has removed Chuck Baldwin from the ballot and is putting the ticket of Ron Paul for President and Michael Peroutka on the ballot for Vice-President.

Ron Paul was aware that the party planned to do this, and has said that as long as he can remain passive and silent about the development, and as long as he need not sign any declaration of candidacy, that he does not object.

A group in Louisiana has also filed to have Ron Paul's name on the ballot for President under the "Louisiana Taxpayers Party" label.

i actually disagree with that

because it would go against everything that we've acheived. by registering Liberterian or Constitutional party, then we are throwing away all the progress we've made and any chance had of reforming the GOP back to the Old Right.

Wednesday's announcement(s)

Can the state coordinators join in an effort to place Dr. Paul on all state ballots? Find out the specifics of write-ins for each state and post them on the 'net'.
Attended a forum this evening at which Purdue University computer/voting machine expert summarized the potentials for fraud associated with ALL computerized voting machines, leading to properly monitored and counted hand marked paper ballots as the most accurate and fraud proof method of voting available - especially if supported by "random audits" and "exit polls".

'Anxious to see movement progress towards exposing connections of the 'major candidates' with the Council on Foreign Relations - as disclosed by website: www.minutemansociety.org , resulting in mass exodus from both major parties, coupled with votes to unseat all 'incumbent' congressional candidates, save those endorsed by Dr. Paul.

Rep. Ron Paul Asks Only “Secure Borders” Presidential Candidate to Join His Press Conference:

Chuck Baldwin of Constitution Party to be Joined by Border Agent’s Wife

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin (www.Baldwin08.com) will join former GOP presidential candidate Rep Ron Paul (R-Tex.) at a News Conference at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Baldwin, who joined other constitutionalists at Ron Paul’s “Shadow Convention” on September 2 in Minneapolis, will be joined by Monica Ramos, wife of imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos. Baldwin has called for the immediate pardon and release of Ramos and Jose Compean, who are serving 11 and 12 year sentences for attempting to uphold immigration law.

Congressman Paul, who is expected to present non-negotiable points voters must demand from a presidential candidate, invited Chuck Baldwin, the only anti-illegal immigrant amnesty presidential candidate, to the September 10 News Conference. Baldwin, a long-time critic of the open-borders policy, will join concerned Americans attending the annual Hold Their Feet To The Fire Radio Row protest and Lobby Days sponsored by the Federation for American Immigration Reform(FAIR) Congressional Task Force.(http://www.fairus.org/site/PageServer?pagename=feettothefire08)

Baldwin, a popular political commentator on national TV shows, is a radio talk show host, author of two books, and pastor of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Pensacola. Florida. He is the only candidate who received an “EXCELLENT” rating by pro-secure borders group Numbers USA .

The group rated Obama and McCain “abysmal” and rated Libertarian Party candidate Bob Barr “bad” on the immigration issue. (http://www.baldwin08.com/files/ImmigrationIssues.pdf)

“The United States government aids and abets illegal criminals, and jails its own law enforcement agents for doing their job. Despite these injustices, both parties controlling our government offer us more of the same with identical pro-amnesty presidential candidates,” Baldwin said.

“Neither Obama nor McCain will end the invasion from the south, nor have they called for the release of our brave border agents. I am the only candidate representing the 75% of Americans who want illegal immigration and amnesty to end.”

In April 2008, Chuck Baldwin was elected by delegates of the nationwide Constitution Party to be their presidential candidate. The CP, founded in 1992, was initially called the U.S. Taxpayers Party. It is the fifth political party to be recognized by the Federal Election Commission. It s expected to be on the ballot in almost every state.

If this is true; LISTEN!!!

It will be big news, might even get a solid minute-per-24hr-news-station.

But here's the headline "Ron Paul to rejoin Race - steal votes from McCain"

Which WE KNOW is b___s___ - the good Dr. will steal votes from McBama.

Trevor, et al, we need numbers to show that just as many Ds will supporting Paul (as he will actually bring troops home) as Rs (because he will shrink the federal government).

If they're both afraid, or at least worried, than Dr. Paul gets lots more attention from both sides . . . .maybe even gets into the debates.

Gary Johnson for VP!

God I love the 1812 Overature; sounds good-happy-airy-light; gets worse, darker, darker, darker, death ______ BAM! the good guys win in the last minute!
