This weekend at the Michigan Republican Convention, a group of Ron Paul Constitutionalists banded together, not to get a candidate elected, but to stop a bad idea. And they did.

In addition to nominating candidates for office, there was a proposal to include the "Platform of the American People" into the platform of the Republican Party, at its national convention.

I attended as a alternative Delegate and was bumped up to Delegate and was able to be part of a large group that helped get this defeated. The vote was roughly 200 to pass and 400 to defeat. There was a loud burst of cheers as the vote was announced.

It was great to know that We the people do have power!
