Livermore— At the end of a major campaign finance disclosure period, locally elected Parks Director and Optometrist Dr. Scott Kamena reported raising $409,555 for his Assembly campaign, more than all of his opponents for the fourth time in a row.

Kamena has raised 52% ($213,000) of his campaign donations from cities within the district and is the only candidate in the race who has not been forced to loan his campaign personal funds.

"The support our campaign continues to receive from local community members has been tremendous," said Kamena. "Our campaign has worked non-stop walking door-to-door and talking with voters. Today, we will let the numbers do the talking."

Dr. Scott Kamena is a small business owner in Livermore, the same town where he was born and raised. His optometry practice, Murrieta Optometry, has treated over 20,000 patients in the region. Scott and his wife Jennifer currently reside in Livermore where they are focused on raising their young daughter Audrey.
