The Ludwig von Mises Institute is the research and educational center of classical liberalism, libertarian political theory, and the Austrian School of economics. Working in the intellectual tradition of Ludwig von Mises (1881-1973) and Murray N. Rothbard (1926-1995), with a vast array of publications, programs, and fellowships, the Mises Institute, with offices in Auburn, Alabama, seeks a radical shift in the intellectual climate as the foundation for a renewal of the free and prosperous commonwealth.
At first glance of the John Birch society's web site, it seems like a libertarian orianted organization. The site is jbs.org. If people don't like this organization for some reason, maybe the Ron Paul Society could be started. Somebody had to start the CFR.
from what i've read so far, this cfr club is the ticket in. they have successfully established themselves as the in-crowd. what bugs me is, why was the socialist ideology is successful in creating such a political powerhouse and the advocates of individual right haven't been able, so far as i know, to create a viable opposition to it. maybe that's what's missing, a club of our own.
form clubs while the nature of socialists is to band together and work as a group
Maybe some individualists are just anti-social
my little rant was kind of rhetorical. what i think is needed, and was overlooked, was the creation of an association dedicated to free markets and individual rights. the socialists wasted no time in getting theirs up and the good folk who want nothing but to be left alone got caught off guard. i wonder if there are some big shot businessmen that share these ideals but just lack the drive to start something like that up.
Obama's ties to Council on Foreign Relations shouldn't surprise anyone, really --I've been told on several occasions that his wife, Michelle, is a member.
