Cutting room floor?

Of course there may have been some articulate, informed protesters at the rally who answered his questions. There's also a good chance that they wound up on the cutting room floor.

I hope we can behave better than that

I hope we as libertarians, BTW members, and Ron Paul supporters can behave ourselves much better than that. And I hope we can state our viewpoints in an intelligent manner without swearing at anyone.

I'm confident we can do both.

I'm Not a Fan of Fox, But ...

... I am a fan of the First Amendment and the rule of law. Remember that the moment he's shoved around a bit his liberty's been impinged. We believe in liberty ... right?

Rational discussion: yes. Physical assault, no matter how mild: no. Note that the ones who holler the most obscenities, who engage in ad hominen attacks, who go around flipping the bird are the inevitably ones with the least to say. Let's not defend them.

I agree; just as important

I agree; just as important as what you say is how you say it.
I'm afraid that some of these marchers are just playing into Fox News' hands by their behavior.

Paid Protesters?

I don't disagree with some of the anti-Fox sentiment but this guy did seem pretty brave. Anyway Alex Jones has encountered the same phenomenon with leftist protesters when he asks them questions. (no comment) Why is this? Paid protesters usually ain't that smart. Part of an overall effort to characterize the anti-war sentiment as being primarily from the radical left? Here's some REAL protesters (volunteers) who took time out of their lives for a spontaneous Rally in New Hampshire. These folks come from the SMALL GOVERNMENT CONSERVATIVE camp. They're the real deal and they have opinions.

"Out of control"

Yeah, right. Of course the little wimpy Fox News reporter thinks a few people yelling and cursing is "out of control," while he tries to equate sending our children to war as being "for freedom." This guy probably couldn't handle a fist fight, never mind being thrust into combat, but he's all for it as long as someone else has to go. Too bad tarring and feathering isn't a viable option anymore.

I'm going to have to

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. I think the freedom the reporter was speaking of was the freedom of speech. He was asking them to explain what they were protesting and they cursed at him and Fox News. I think it just made the protesters look bad. They would have served their cause better by intelligently explaining what they were opposing and why. In this case, Fox was actually giving them an opportunity to speak and they chose not only to ignore it but to paint themselves as uncouth in the process.

i can understand

i can understand why the protesters wouldn't want anything to do with fox. Who is Fox to tell them if they don't talk to fox they don't believe in freedom of speech. I'm surprised no one took the mic and beat him over the head with it

Funny, Rev. Maybe true, but

Funny, Rev. Maybe true, but I hope not. Ron Paul supporters are a lot more articulate than the people in that crowd who resorted to swearing at the reporter when he asked them to explain what they were protesting. I hope our fellow revolutionaries would seize upon the opportunity to speak intelligently to the American people about the issues, rather than resort to such behavior. After all, we need all the positive coverage we can get to spread the message.

Thats true, but Fox is the

Thats true, but Fox is the exclusive servant of the status quo. They've never done any favors for anyone by delivering news with loads of bias.

I know we should take every opportunity to spread the good word, but one must recognise the temptation of blackballing them, the very same way they have blackballed us.

Protesters view of event

Half way into this video is the protesters confronting fox news.
Shot today, 24 August 2008. Department of correction vehicles near Capitol where protesters held demonstrations. National Guard in residential neighborhood six miles from where DNC held.

Most protesters were peaceful and law abiding, however when a Fox News cameraman entered the crowds, some of the mostly younger protesters were not having a corporate Neocon controlled propaganda tell their story.
